  • The SD-H1 is an HDMI video sync detector that provides a loss-of-signal (LOS) output that indicates loss of clock signal.
  • The open drain LOS output is low when no sync is detected.
  • The impedance is high when sync is detected and is labelled high-low (H/I) to in-out (I/O) port.
  • Two additional outputs are provided via normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) relays, each with its own ground. These can typically be used for control of a projection screen up/down upon detection of a valid HDMI signal.
  • On Loss of Signal the relay will unlatch after a period of approx. 1 minute. Please stipulate if no wait period is required at time of ordering.
  • The device operates from a single 7~36VDC supply, which makes it suitable for connection to Crestron, AMX, Control4 and many other control systems using their existing Cresnet, Axlink voltage lines as the current draw is minimal.
  • The unit is housed in a flame retardant ABS plastic (material carries a UL flammability rating of 94V-0) and is designed to meet IP54 standards.

Time Delay at Loss of Signal - This is pre-programmed for a one (1) minute delay before the relay unlatches. This is done on purpose in order to compensate for those occassions when the laptop or PC goes to sleep. This then gives one minute to touch the key board and reset the timer. If the time out is set to zero, the relay would activate immediately and if controlling a screen, would cause the screen to retract. This is the most common usage.

Ideal for use in those situations to determine the power status of devices such as Laptops, Blu-Ray players, DVDs, cameras which have a HDMI output. Many of these do not have discrete power commands thereby making it ‘hit and miss’ in determining if it’s on or off. Well, not any more. Just fit the SD-H1 in-line and it will detect the presence of HDMI signal. Feed the output directly to the I/O port of your processor and your will be able to determine the power status and always toggle the power correctly – no more guess work!
